    Norbit Lamar Tatom, 80, of Pineland, died Monday night in the Hemphill Care Center. He was born in Pineland to Clyde and Marie Sanford Tatom. Norbit was a retired truck driver for KLLM Trucking Company.

    Norbit is survived by his son David Tatom of Hemphill, his daughters; Betty Johnson of Bellevue, Nebraska, Patty Jones and her husband David of Gladewater, Peggy (Suzy) Dickerson and her husband Tommy of Hemphill, Lisa Hodges and her husband Steve of Alvin, TX, his brothers; Eugene Tatom of Pineland, Charles Tatom of Magnolia, TX, his sisters; Delorse Scott of Lindale, Inez Tatom of Rosevine; seventeen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Janie Tatom, his son Charles Lamar Tatom, and his brother Doyle Tatom.

    Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 9:00PM, Wednesday, Oct. 16, and from 9:00AM until 9:00PM, Thursday, Oct. 17, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:00Am, Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery.

    On Friday, August 9, 2019 at 3:15 pm, Delorse Tatom Wilson Scott went home to be with her Savior. Delorse was born in Pineland, TX on August 1, 1939. She worked for Sears in Houston, TX for 10+ years and retired in 1991 at which time she moved back to Sabine County. She was a very good seamstress but her love was her family and church.

    Delorse is survived by her husband of 10 years, Glen Scott of Lindale, TX and daughters, Marlene Wilson Fletcher and husband. Gregory, of Huffman,TX; Glenda Whisenhunt and husband, Perri, of Tyler, TX and Sherry Etemad and husband, Kamran, of Tyler TX, daughter-in-law, Xan Wilson of Porter,TX and son-in-law, Tommy Knight of Nederland,TX, brothers Eugene Tatom and wife, Gladys, of Pineland, TX and Charles Tatom and wife, Barbara, of Magnolia,TX.

    She has 9 grandchildren, Amanda Fletcher and husband, James Dembicki, Misty Curtis, Gregory C. Fletcher and wife, Brandi, Dana Allee, Lisa and Marrianne Wilson, Michelle Wagner, Kayla Wood and husband, Justin, and Krystal Anderson and husband, Donnie. She also has 4 great-grandchildren, Jeremy Dembicki, Kessler Curtis, Kiernan and Kielovan Fletcher.

    Delorse is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Marlin Wilson, son, Melvin C Wilson, daughter, Wanda Knight, her parents, Clyde and Marie Tatom, brothers, Norbit and Doyle Tatom and sister, Inez Tatom.

    Pallbearers: Dwayne Tatom, Brian Tatom, Sr, Gregory C Fletcher, Shelby Smith, Albert Gonzales, Jimmy Kelley.

    Visitation will be on Monday, August 12 2019 from 5 to 9 pm at Starr Funeral Home.
    Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11:00 am at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948. Officiating: Brother Terry Lott.

    Burial will follow services in Plainview Cemetery.

Inez was born in the Plainview Community, Sabine County, to Clyde and Marie Sanford Tatom. Inez graduated from West Sabine High School, Pineland, Texas, in 1964, where she lettered four years in basketball. She retired from the City of Deer Park and then worked as a clerk for Brookshire Brothers in Hemphill, Texas.

    Inez is survived by her daughters; Sherry Renae Ladnier and her husband Tracy of Friendswood, Sharon Rachelle Sills and her husband Billy of Friendswood, her brothers; Eugene Tatom and his wife Gladys of Hemphill, Charles Tatom and his wife Barbara of Magnolia, her sister Delores Scott and her husband Glen of Center, her grandchildren; Tommy, Landon, Robert, Angelia, and Christina and her great grandson Trae.

    Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday, October 10, 2014, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, October 11, 2014, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery, FM 1 and FM 2024, Pineland, Texas.

    Wanda was born in Hemphill, Texas to Delorse and Marlin Wilson on March 7, 1959. She was a 1977 graduate of Sam Houston High School and went on to have a career in the insurance field that spanned 38 years. She worked for Byrd Insurance Agency in Lufkin, Texas for the past 16 years. Her early years were spent in Houston, Texas where she was licensed and earned her ACSR designation. Wanda loved her job and the many people and customers that she came in contact with and served. Wanda also loved reading her many books and her vacations with her mom and her husband.

    Wanda is survived by her husband, Thomas B. Knight of Hemphill, Texas; her daughter, Dana Allee of Houston, Texas; her mother, Delorse Tatom Wilson Scott and husband, Glen, of Lindale, Texas; her sister, Marlene Wilson Fletcher and husband, Gregory, of Huffman, Texas; sister-in-law, Xan Wilson of Porter, Texas and Ann M. Knight of Livingston, Texas; two step-sisters, Glenda Whisenhunt and husband, Perri, of Chappell Hill, Texas and Sherri Etamad and husband, Kamran, of Tyler, Texas; stepson, David Knight of Port Neches, Texas, Darrell Knight of Groves, Texas, Lee Reeves of Orange, Texas and step-daughter, Angel Wynn of Port Neches, Texas and grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

    Wanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Orie Wilson and Clyde and Marie Tatom, her father, Marlin Wilson, and her brother, Melvin Wilson.

    Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel, Hemphill with interment to follow at Plainview Cemetery, Pineland, Texas.

He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School and a member of the Suburban Woods Baptist Church. He worked for Northside Plumbing Company in Houston for twenty-five years.

    Melvin is survived by his wife of 27 years, Xan Burnett Wilson and his daughters Lisa Marie Wilson and Marrianne Elizabeth Wilson all of Porter, Texas, his mother Delorse Wilson Scott and her husband Glen of Lindale, TX, his sisters, Marlene Wilson Fletcher and her husband Gregory of Huffman, TX, Wanda Knight and her husband Tommy of Hemphill, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin and Orie Wilson and Clyde and Marie Tatom, his father Charley Marlin Wilson, in-laws Jimmi and Billie Burnett.
