      Obituaries

      Roy Agar

      Roy B. Agar, 84, of Marlette, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 1996, at Saginaw General Hospital.

      He was born June 20, 1912, in Ionia to David and Eva (Bowman) Agar. He married Louise Klinkman Jan. 1, 1942, in Marlette. They celebrated their 50?sup?th?/sup? wedding anniversary 4 years ago.

      A lifelong farmer in the Marlette area, he was a member of Michigan Milk Association, Sanilac Farm Bureau and Marlette Co-op. The graduated from Marlette High School in 1931.

      He is survived by his wife, Louise Agar of Marlette; a son, Keith Agar of Marlette; a daughter, Marilyn (Leon) Trainor of Snover, and grandsons, David Trainor of Mt. Pleasant and Steven Trainor of Snover. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Iva Mae, and brother, Aden.

      Funeral services were to be held Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette, with the Rev. Jay Sheats officiating.

      Interment will be in the Marlette Cemetery.
