    • Corrine writes, in VINSON MEMORIES, that she was born in Ross, Texas and moved to Vinson by covered wagon when she was four years old. Two years after graduating from Mangum High School in 1921, she attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and earned a life certificate to teach. She taught first grade in Vinson for $75 per month. She later moved to Mangum, and taught there as well.
